Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of gear do you use?
My Canon 5D Mark IV is my main camera for portraits, and add my Canon 6D for weddings and special occasions that may require two cameras. This allows me to be at-the- ready for close up and wide angle shots so I don't miss any magical, split second, moments!
How long have you been a photographer?
Since 2008. I began taking photos at the age of 10 with my first Canon camera. The little silver point and shoot camera sparked my love of photography. I always begged my family and friends to let me photograph them and still do! I photographed my first wedding at age 16.
How many images will you include?
I will capture this time in your life fully. I don't put an exact number on the final photos in your gallery, but I won't withhold any photos from you or charge extra for more photos as some photographers.
What is your turnaround time?
I try to turnaround individual session photography like portraits within 2 weeks. Weddings and bigger shoots, within 3 weeks. I know how much these photos mean to you and want to get them to you as quickly as possible while making sure that I have given each and every photo the time that it needs to be complete.
Do you give raw unedited photos?
I do not. I won't leave anything out, and if you think I have, then please ask! Editing is half the photography process. The photos in your gallery will be consistent. I do not 'photoshop' the images but may remove a blemish or something that would not normally be there, so please ask.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Unless the weather is crazy and could damage my equipment, or is unsafe for everyone, we will carry on with the shoot. Sometimes the best photos come out of the most unpredictable weather! If the weather is bad enough to cancel the shoot and the event, I will work with you to reschedule.
How do payment schedules work?
I require a 25% non-refundable retainer fee for portrait sessions and other special occasions one week before the session. The balance (75%) is due the day of the photography session. For weddings, the retainer of 50% is due at signing of my photo agreement and 50% is due the day before the wedding.
What if I need to cancel/reschedule the shoot?
The retainer fee is legally non-refundable and you will have to submit a new retainer fee for a canceled or rescheduled shoot.
